The Location Bank was founded in 1990 by Franck Hakkert. In the previous period of 10 years
Franck Hakkert was active as a Producer, Line-Producer, Executive Producer and Productionmanager
for many TV, Film, Photo and Commercial productions.
After an experience of many years in photoproduction and filmproduction in studio’s as well as
on locations, Franck Hakkert became aware of a trend towards the realisation of filmshoots and
photoshoots on a suitable location. As far as he was aware there existed no professional Location
Agency which did filmlocation and photolocation-management or professional location-scouting.
Than The Location Bank was founded. It appeared to be a hole in the market.
After many years of experience The Location Bank became one of the most successful location agencies,
both in the Netherlands as wel as far abroad. Meanwhile The Location Bank works as location scout
international and national for many Film, Tv, Photo and Advertisement shoots. The Location Bank has now
grown into an enormous location database, offering unique locations around the world, which can be
consulted via our public location website or the non-public locationdatabase (due to reasons of privacy).
Appart from our professional team of location scouts and location managers, The Location Bank offers
an experienced production team for all your film and photoshoots. Also our photographers are at your
disposal for publicity, Set and Still photography.
